Etisalat Academy introduces new programmes for Chartered and Assistant Accountants Due to increase in demand

Dr. Doaa Fares, General Manager of Etisalat Academy, said "These programmes organized by Etisalat Academy aim to guide and train financial and accounting professionals to achieve the "Certified Accounting Technicians" (CAT) and ACCA certificates. This will help them achieve a higher level of professionalism and satisfy current market demands. The British CAT and ACCA certificates are the equivalent of the CPA in the United States of America ."
The programmes will last between 12 and 24 months and the CAT and ACCA programmes have commenced from August 12, 2006. Trainees are required to complete 9 courses to graduate with the CAT certificate, while trainees studying the ACCA programme will have to take 14 courses. The courses are to be taken over 3 consecutive academic terms.
The courses to be studied include Financial Records and Administration, Data Analysis, Cost Accounting, Systems and Human Resources, which have all been set in accordance with international standards in Accounting.
The courses are delivered by highly trained professionals certified by the International Professional Organization in the United Kingdom and United States of America , of which the Etisalat Academy is a special member. Candidates are short-listed through internal assessments and reviews before being allowed to take the computerized exams held in the computer laboratories of the Etisalat Academy .
Etisalat Academy was also recently selected by the Southern New Hampshire University, USA, to organize a number of courses for graduates of higher institutes, aimed at preparing them by offering courses with extra credit and training.
